Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 Review
The Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 is a follow-up to AT&T’s A717. It slims up quite a bit and takes off a little bit of size and weight. Even with those changes, the Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 upgraded to a larger, color external display. The thin clamshell design fits great in one’s hand.
Some of the features found on the Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 that were also on its predecessor include HSDPA 3G data, a memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, and an amazing rotating 2 mega-pixel camera. It also comes with a standard T9 predictive text entry program.
For a clamshell form, the Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 is surprisingly light, weighing in at a mere 3.17 oz (90 g). AT&T does a great job of getting all the features they can out of every ounce of phone. The Li-ion battery provides for just enough talk time, at just three hours.
Samsung has vastly upgraded the display system, adding a LCD color external screen. With 262144 colors and a resolution of 172×220 pixels, the display is more than exceptional! The screen is big and bright, easy to see in direct light or in dim lit areas.
One of the best aspects of the Samsung SLM-SGH-A747 is its ability to take streaming video. The maximum video capture length is a full sixty minutes! It also features video sharing and mobile email, enabling one to share their media with friends and family.

This is definitely one of the best cell phones offered by AT&T. It is small, stylish, and loaded with features! Its video features coupled with the 2.0 mega-pixel swivel camera make this phone ideal for the shutterbug in all of us. This is one of the best buys on the market today. Samsung has scored a home run with its Samsung SLM-SGH-A747!
