The Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 is a smartphone style device designed by UTStarcom. It is a 2005 era phone, also known as the XV6700. With an emphasis on text messaging and a variety of other high tech functions, the Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 stands out as a fairly impressive device even by today’s standards.
The Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 is a dual band CDMA phone, so it can only be used in the United States and a few other places in the world. However, it is a 3G capable device that is able to transfer data via the high speed EV-DO rev.0 network.
While not particularly large, the Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 is one of the heavier devices in its size range. Measuring in at approximately four inches by two inches by one inch, it weighs a massive 172 grams, tipping the scales past even some of the largest BlackBerry devices.
The only real point where the Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 suffers is it’s short battery life. Expect to get less than four hours of talk time or 10 days of standby on a single charge. That’s not really anything to be too impressed by.

The Audiovox HTC-Apache / PPC-6700 is a fantastic device if you can get it for a good price. Since it has been discontinued by many companies, you can find one pretty cheap. It makes a perfect backup phone for any technophile.
